Public Library Online
A Digital Offering
Greetings from New York!
A quick update to say that the pop-up library in Gillett Square is now closed. Thank you so much to everyone who passed by over the past couple of months. More than anything, it provided a space to connect with people whose lives might not otherwise overlap my own Venn Diagram of daily activity – a form of social interaction that feels largely lost to pre-COVID times. I also learnt a lot about what it means to enter an established community, and hope to bring something different to it. More on that in a future newsletter.
I’m already plotting the next iteration of the IRL library, but for now I bring you a digital offering. I’ve created a website to share some of the books I featured in the library, which are listed along with key quotes and suggestions for further reading. This website will be updated regularly, so please check it out and bookmark! (I’m also working on a way to categorise the books by genre to facilitate better searching.)
Take a look here, let me know what you think.
As always, thank you for reading.
