This month’s Footnotes includes a guide to some of my favourite spots in NYC.
In case you missed the last edition - Footnotes is a new format I’m sending out on the last Sunday of every month. This is the place for articles/objects/places/spaces that have piqued my interest recently – (mostly) outside the realm of books and literature.
THIS MONTH
I’m writing this month’s Footnotes from New York City, my on/off home of the past eight years. I keep waiting for the day this city ceases to send a thrill through my nervous system, but it never seems to come. Suffice to say I’m happy to be back, so I thought I’d share a tight edit of my NYC Go-To’s – the places I always find myself returning, and the ones I’ve more recently discovered.
My October Footnotes also include:
– A few thought-provoking interviews with my new favourite big thinker (plus one great music video).
– Two - very different - documentaries I enjoyed in recent weeks.
– The surprising place I bought the best workout gear I own.
– A couple of easy soup recipes I have on repeat when this time of year rolls around. ‘Tis the season…
