It’s the time of year when everything speeds up exponentially. Days and weeks are passing in a blur of childcare, housework, work-work, and the endless picking up of tiny socks on the floor. Before we get to the head-spinning festive season, I thought I’d share some Footnotes.

First of all, some news.

The next DEEP READ Salon takes place on November 25th in London. I’ll be live in conversation with Sharmadean Reid, my longtime friend and the founder of the incredible new bathing brand, 39BC. Sharmadean has created something really special with this brand - the first collection is inspired by the love story between Cleopatra and Mark Antony - and I’m excited to explore the books that informed her research, as well as the rituals that she lives by. The event will take place at 39BC’s Holiday Pop-Up Experience at Mason & Fifth in Westbourne Park. Tickets are free and you can find the RSVP information here.
